Game Pass needs to be purchased for $99/year. That includes both on-demand games, and audio feeds of regular season games only. You do, however, get live pre-season games. I’m not sure if the audio portion will come to the apple TV or not, though. As far as the activation code, I was able to activate my apple TV with no help needed.
