OOooh, now this is wonderful, and yes, worth an upgrade for this alone. 'Bout time!.... but better late than never. I never did do any good with the pinch gesture. mBraille was the only other place with this kind of sensible text selection.

Then, turn the rotor when you are in any text box, reading an Email, on the web with Safari, composing text, anywhere like that it seems; turn the rotor to Text Selection and flick up or down to set the unit you want to select. You have character, word, line, page, or select all, I think. I've not found select all to work that well. But, flick to line for example, then flick right with one finger. Each right flick will select one more line of text. When you have everything you want selected, turn the rotor to edit and flick up or down to the action you want to perform.
