If you are only using it with an iOS device, I don't think you can program any keys and as far as I know, Apple has not implemented any use for the function key to date. Perhaps on a Mac, but I've never seen any use for it with an iOS device.

Five years ago, when we got our first iPad, I loved using a bluetooth qwerty keyboard with it. ;) Maybe it has just been too long, and it isn’t my thing anymore.
