Thanks a bunch for all these tips! It's been nearly 5 months (almost
six) since I've used an IPhone! thus when I get my 4S and if when
updating it doesn't show the time, I'll definitely keep in mind to restart.

that since then I can't see the time showing on the locked screen as I push
the power button. I'm baffled. Up till now, I used to push the power
button and Voiceover would give me the time. Now it doesn't and as I flick
across the locked screen I can hear "unlock" date but no time and then the
usual status bar. Has anyone else noticed this?
