Not sure if I agree, I never noticed this poor pronounciation of the upper case
“b” as much as I do with iOS 9 and after all, Samantha prounces it fine when
it’s lower case. I think it has to do with the fact they switched to Voiceover
only saying “Cap” and it’s the way it sounds together.

that seems to be a Samantha problem. Alex, Female Siri and Siri Male don't slur
the pronunciation the way Samantha does. So, since not all the US English
voices have the issue there may be nothing Apple can do about it, the maker of
the synthesizer would need to do something.

One quite annoying mispronunciation I've encountered in iOS 9.0.2 is that
capitol "B" is not pronounced at all correctly. It sound to these ears as if
VoiceOver were saying "Cap Lee."

This happens whether I'm in the CONTACTS and perusing each capitol letter,
checking the spelling of a word character by character or any other endeavor
where the "B" should be pronounced "Cap B."

I will add, this also happens with the lower case "b" minus the "Cap" of course.

I'm using an iPhone 6, 128 GB, U.S. English.

Has anybody else encountered this?

OK, first off, this is not the public beta. I'm speaking of the official I O S
build. that being said, this does happen as well on the beta. I tested it.
Technically, I probably shouldn't be saying that, but anyway...

Try this for yourself.

1. Switch your speech to the enhanced quality Symantha voice. It's the only
one where I'm seeing this occur.

2. Type in the word "bit", b i t. bit. then, have it read back just the
individual word. Notice that it reads it correctly.

3. Now however, do this. Type in a full sentence and use the word "bit" b i
t, in the middle of the sentence. Make sure there's at least one word after it
in the sentence.

Now mark? Do not put me on moderator status here. We are all? adults here.
OK? I'm not cussing like in my last thread. I'm quoting a bug here. I'm not
trying to unprofessionally curse. So, let's be mature about this! I'm gonna
be quite angry if you call me out on this publicly or not. But seriously,
you'll notice, instead of saying bit, it instead says, bitch! b i t c h. Like
a female dog.

Example: I hope it explains things a bit differently, would actually come out
as: I hope it explains things a bitch differently.

If you read word by word though with your rotor, you'll notice that you did!
spell things correctly, and that in all actuality, the word bit, b i t, is
written, not the other word.

Is that! not just totally! bizarre? If you don't believe me with this, and
think I'm only writing this for attention, then, here's your proof:
