My wife can access the books I buy on Kindle. I'll check with her if she is logged in with her own account or not. I don't remember how I set that up the first time. But, she is set up with Family sharing and the Kindle app allows family sharing, so that might be it. Or, I just added her device in the Kindle account settings on the web site. I don't remember. She is out of town today. So, if someone else doesn't have a more definitive answer, I'll let you know what I figure out when she is back.
