I never use emojis, but I think you can access the Emoji keyboard by bringing up the onscreen keyboard using ( Fn + 3 on some keyboards. Once it lit up, the phone recognized it and that was it. I don't really know how to spell this. All my issues started when I accidentally activated the emoji keyboard which I have never dealt with before. I had no idea how to get out of it. So, I reset everything which turned out to be one of the worse things I could have done. Anyway, everything seems to work now.
