Hello,

It sounds like you are getting two concepts confused in the contacts app.

The add field option is for adding fields that are not normally displayed such
as birthday or notes.

If you wish to add additional entries to fields that are always displayed in
the add/edit contact screen, but the title button for the field is not the
title you require, double-tap on the title button and a new screen appears that
gives you several choices for titles. Find the choice you want by flicking
horizontally or sliding your finger down the screen. One of the choices is
custom for if none of the choices match the label you require. After you
activate the choice you require with a double or split tap, the selection
screen closes and VO focus is placed in the edit field for that information.
When you add information in to the field, another field of the same type
appears so you can have multiple entries. The beauty of this system is that you
do not have multiple, wasted fields for information which you do not require.
This creates a much more flexibleand dynamic contacts database.
