Hi, David and welcome to the Apple community. As someone stated, speech settings are personal. You can adjust volue and speed to your liking and the rest of Voice Over settings are more less good as they are. I'd recommend you keep the hints and VO sounds till you get used to the phone and the only two things I'd change is the higher pitch of typed letters to off and setting he Reduce Motion to on. You can explore other settings as you go and check out how to keep them. P.S. I'd also set the typing mode to touch typing, it is good to get used to it from the start. 18.12.2015. u 18:58, david je
