Hi Lelia,

Strictly speaking the cable whether the old 30-Pin used with the iPhone 4S and
earlier or the Lightning cable which started with the iPhone 5 is not a
"charger". It is simply the Lightning Cable or USB to Lightning cable. The
small square piece the USB end of the cable plugs in to is called the wall
adapter or power adapter. As Mike pointed out, you can use pretty much most
power/wall adapters with the iPhone although for the iPad you should make sure
it's a 2.1 Amp adapter since a 1 Amp adapter won't charge it or at least only
very slowly. It doesn't matter if you use a 2.1 Amp adapter with the iPhone, it
will only draw as much current as needed.

I also very much like the Anker 2-port or 4-port adapters you can buy, you plug
them into an outlet and then you have 2 or 4 spots to plug in USB cables. I
have a 2-port adapter plugged in behind the bed and this way both my wife and I
can have a Lightning cable on each side table to charge our phones at the same
time.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: What is the plug that you plug your charger into called?

Hello, I know this might be a weird question, but you know how you have your
iPhone charger and you have that square size plug that you plug the charger
into. What is it called so I know what to tell someone I need? Thanks. I have
an iPhone 5s. And my husband has a six.
