I did this for the first time yesterday. What you do is actually peel off the sticker that will feel raised. Just get it with the edge of your fingernail and peel carefully. The code is underneath. Then using the camera on the phone when you're in that screen, hold the code part near the camera, but don't swipe it back and forth. On the screen, it shows what the camera sees. If it's lined up properly, the screen will change, and of course Voiceover will say something. I think the heading on the screen changed. Anyhow, it was apparent that it had found the code.
