I've been playing with this app for about 15 minutes, and I am very impressed! It recognizes about 85% of the objects that I pointed it at. Including my guitar, printer, flatscreen TV, and thermostat.
It did think that my cat was a Labrador however, but the cat wasn't offended. 😀 I found that wants it recognizes an object if you leave the focus on the text of the object, it will automatically stay there and all you have to do is point the camera at different objects and wait a few seconds for it to announce what it is.
