If they are not staying on the phone, you may want to look at the settings.
But, PlainText (free), Meteor Notes $2.99, and many others allow you to
Email as well as store the notes.

Subject: The notes feature -- can I keep notes on the phone?

Hi All,

If using the notes app that is native to the iPhone, is it possible to keep
the notes on the phone? What I mean is, the notes I write are currently
emailed to the address I've identified in the settings under notes. But is
it possible to keep a copy of the note on the phone as well?

If this is not possible with the native notes app, is there another app that
would allow me to both email the note and keep a copy on the phone?

Thanks,
Kimber
