Thanks, Ed. It's the Activity app for me that's a bit fidgety when I try to get the steps count and distance for the day. I like the access to this info on my watch, but know I can get it on my phone if I need to. I'm holding off on Pedometer plus plus for now, but may look at it in the near future.

It seems to have some trouble loading the steps, or even VoiceOver may skip over the step count all together, an not really sure which. That is why I use the Pedometer PlusPlus app as I can have the step count on the watch face.
