Hi Traci and John, What's always happened for me is that either I'm alerted by the watch or the phone of a notification. If I'm notified on the phone, the sound plays. If I'm notified on the watch, there's a vibration and, if sounds are on, there's a sound. I don't know of any way to get alerted to a notification in both places.
