In fact Skype I think is better than Facetime and it’s definitely not worse. On top of that it uses less data as it has better compression.
On another note, if you want to use voice messages using the voice message feature to send voice recordings between iOS devices with the messages app is horrible in quality compared to Whats App. I still can’t believe Apple hasn’t fixed that, these messages sound like a recording on an old answering machine with a cassette tate.
