Hi Chris,

This is how you put an iPhone in DFU mode, which is what I think you're asking 
for. I assume the process is the same on an iPad.

Connect the iPad to your computer. Hold down the Home and Power buttons for 10 
seconds. Then release the Power button, but keep holding down the Home button 
until iTunes says there's an iPad in recovery mode, and you should be able to 
restore from there. I hope it works.
