My first recommendation is to make sure the file names are sequential so that the computer sorts them from 1 to 10. Then, zip them into a file with the file name being the title of the book. Then, put that zip file on DropBox, and use Voice Dream Reader to import the file. What you will end up with, is a book that has 10 chapters and it will always start where you leave off and you can adjust the playback speed quite easily.
Otherwise, I'd recommend using some other application to convert them into properly tagged m4b files which iTunes will see as an audio book. People have recommended applications for that, but I personally don't use that method.
