Seeing eye does not store maps off line. Blindsquare is much more
automatic, seeing eye will announce the streets when you get to them,
but blindsquare provides more information automatically and I think
it's better than seeing eye at this point.

handy. With blind square, the announcement stuff is pretty automatic. I
mostly use it when going somewhere new to keep me clued in on where I
am. Typically, for route planning, I use google maps to get turn by
turn or work out transit things in cities where I have never been.
I have navigon but last time I tried, I couldn't work out how to get
maps properly.

Google Maps and Lyft used to do this as well, but both of those apps

much more intuitive for my use. I really love the improvements to the
app with the newest update. The tabs down at the bottom of the app
screen are now all on one level, and for low vision users they have
added some new text and interface color options. Just a note I am not

vision aspect of the app now. I have found the look around features of
The Seeing Eye app to more than adequate. But once again different
strokes for different folks.
