This gesture will work in what ever set up you have going for the keyboard i.e. minimum or full sized… The gesture is hard to get to work at first, but keep with it it will work and then you will know the sweet spot to perform the gesture in. I have found that if you place your two fingers about a finger width from the bottom of the screen then do more of a two finger flick down it will work great. I hope that this helps and good luck. What happens with the standard Ios keyboard when doing one of these searches is that the bottom right button turns into a search button for execution when you exit the text input field. I find both the Fleksy spacebar and minimal keyboards deficient in this operation since i think neither does this search button conversion. So, I've gotten in the habit of returning to the standard Ios keyboard when searching in an app. This requires a two finger swipe up in the minimal keyboard to switch to the spacebar one followed by pressing the button to the left of the spacebar to switch to the iOS keyboard.
