I hope my information for your research project isn't too late. I use camfind to identify objects and colors. I use KNFB Reader to scan and read my mail and other printed material. I'm new to learning braille, so my app of choice is Braille Reference. I use Voicedream and Bard mobile to listen to books. I use iNote to identify paper currency. I use Wells Fargo for my banking. I use the native mail app which comes installed on the iPhone for email. I use tunein radio to stream local radio stations and the YouTube app for videos. I use Facebook app or Safari's mobile site for social media. I have a lot of other apps that I use, the above apps are the ones I use most often.
