Yes, you use the same apps you'd normally use to call or text, but the
wifi network is used and not your cellular connection. You can read more

Sorry this message is a bit late, but my problem with activating WiFi calling with
AT&T has been solved. The lady that was helping me didn't really state how she
solved the problem, but she said she manipulated something and she was able to
enter the code. Just for your information, WiFi calling kicks in when the cellular
bars are 2 or less.
I appreciate those of you who sent me suggestions and I'm glad I have it
activated now. Thanks again.
