Hi Donna, I wonder if your friend was referring to how you can share what you are listening to via Facebook, Twitter, email and so on. You can't actually send somebody a book to listen to unless you set up Amazon Family Sharing in which case you can share Kindle and Aubile books with other family members who are part of the family plan just like you can set up family sharing with Apple and share apps and so on.
