Hi all, So I have very recently discovered the usefulness of the google maps app, particularly for planning a route with public transit. I know I know, I live under a rock, guilty as charged.
But here's my issue. Suppose you have the following situation: -You need to go somewhere that involves two buses. bus 1 and bus 2. -the app first tells you to walk, say, five minutes to bus 1's bus stop. And it says bus 1 will be arriving in 15 minutes. -it then tells you to get on bus 1, ride it for, say, 6 stops, totaling about ten minutes, and then instructs you to get off at bus 2's bus stop. -then, however, instead of telling you when the next bus 2 will arrive, it tells you when the subsequent bus 2 will arrive, leading you to falsely come to the conclusion that there is no earlier bus 2. What gives away the fact that there is indeed an earlier bus 2 is the total length of the trip, as indicated in a previous window when you're selecting from the various options. -if you click on departures, it will indeed list a prior bus 2, a connection you absolutely would have been able to make, as anticipated by the app's estimation of how long the overall trip will take. But unless you click on that departures button or whatever it's called, you aren't given the initial bus (the earlier bus 2) as an option. Does that make sense? Does anyone know what I'm talking about or how you'd go about fixing this? I don't think it's an accessibility issue, but I do think it's a glaring one, and am not sure if it's me or the app. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
