Please permit me to explain something quite basic to the concept of vacuum cleaners; I learned from first-hand observation when I had reasonably good vision.
No matter how good any commercially available vacuum cleaner may be, there will always be some residual dirt left behind. While my late wife and I lived in Wheaton, IL. we decided to buy an Electrolux. We called the company and they sent out a very delightfully dapper gentleman for a demonstration. The then current vacuum cleaner we had a terrible job and we were ready for a definite upgrade (I’ll not mention the brand name of that vacuum cleaner). The dapper sales rep showed up and proceed to do the demo where he ran our sorry vacuum over about a five square area of our living room carpet. He then took his demo Electrolux, placed a handkerchief in the nozzle such as to serve as a filter and then proceded to vacuum over the same area previously done. After completing this exercise, he showed all the dirt caught in the handkerchief with all the “left behind” dirt. I then did the same thing (with a handkerchief) with our vacuum cleaner and once again cleaned over the “demonstration area.” I then showed him the dirt left behind by the Electrolux. That “demo trick” is something I had read about in a magazine with the supposition that any vacuum cleaner will not be able to get every spec of dirt. We bought the Electrolux from this dapper sales rep anyway because it was a markedly better appliance than the one we had at that time. The point is this, maybe the Rhumba won’t get every bit of dirt - but then, no commercially available cleaner will! ———— Bill & Leader Dog Holland wfgal...@icloud.com -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
