Hi Gordon, Oh, I am not saying that the problem has been solved. I was just able to find the setting that Mark was talking about, and discovered that I had not turned it off. So I did so. Now, if over the next several days, I don't see that location services thing in my status bar, I will have to suppose that it did indeed solve the problem. The question as to why is still a Mistry, since the app switcher is empty when that location services thing shows up.
