Interesting, we have an Apple TV 4th Gen and I have not seen any of this even 
once. We are in Canada and don't have Hulu, but no issues with Netflix or 
Youtube. What you are describing with a show not resuming after pausing it 
could be a network issue? Do you have your Apple TV on WiFi or do you have it 
hardwired to your router?

With NetFlix, I can watch an episode of a show such as The Andy Griffith Show. 
If I pause an episode, then resume play, I get an error and I can't continue 
the episode. I have to remove the NetFlix app from the app switcher, then 
restart the device and that doesn't always work either. The error doesn't 
always happen from pausing either, it just happens. Sometimes, I can never get 
it to work and I have to switch to another profile to watch the same episode. 
YouTube doesn't work half of the time, same thing, remove the app from the app 
switcher and restart the device. . With Hulu, I can be browsing around and if I 
click on more details to learn more about a movie, the app will crash every 
time. These are just a few little annoyances that I am having to deal with. I 
have uninstalled the apps and reinstalled, but the problems still exist. My 
software is up to date as well. The device seemed more stable when it was first 
released than it is now. I guess one of the software updates caused these 
problems.

I love mine, but lately I have been noticing some glitches that make  me very 
unhappy, especially with NetFlix and YouTube. I am hoping an update for either 
the Apple TV or for the apps themselves will be released soon that will fix 
these issues. Overall though, I love it and don't regret getting mine.

Your owner and myself are investigating in the Apple TV 4th Generation.
Apart from the book I’ve just bought from Mosen Consulting, “Apple TV 4th 
Generation with VoiceOver”, how are you personally finding it? One of the 
reasons we may be upgrading is the lack of security and bug fix updates in the 
Apple TV 3rd Generation and of course be up in the world <smile>. But one other 
somewhat mysterious reason is I’ve heard from the owner that it can change the 
source of an HD TV without one ever having to do it themselves. While we are no 
Apple engineers, we suspect it could be to do with our boxes. Any thoughts 
greatly appreciated. Thank you.
