There is not a public version of the beta yet, no. That will be released in July. The mailing list I'm aware of is only for the discussion of public betas, which as previously mentioned, have yet to be released. Which means that no one has discussed it there either. They did talk about picture recognition, so I will just say that this is interesting for people who want it.
