You could try a different approach to this issue.
iMessages in the Messages app are threaded by sender or contact. If you want to keep just some posts from specific contact you can always delete unwanted posts and keep just the posts you want to store.
Of course, this takes some discipline to always delete unwanted posts from the thread after you read them.
