why you didn't see the messages. 

Anyway...

I tested reading my Aa & AAA batteries with the KNFB & camfind apps. Both apps 
were able to identify the brand name of the battery, battery size & warning 
info. It was a bit harder to get the info from the AAA battery because the 
battery is small. I would assume that you could use Be My Eyes or even Facetime 
to obtain the info from the batteries being that you will have sighted 
assistance. The writing on AA & AAA batteries is parallel to the seam. The 
brand name & size is located slightly away from the overlapping seam. Being 
that cell batteries are a metallic silver color (shiney) & the size is etched 
into the battery it may be harder for an app to identify.
