Evan, If in the dropbox app, there is a back button at the top left that will let you go back to your list of folders. The scrub gesture will also work. To do the scrub gesture, put 2 fingers on the right side of your screen, about half way down, next to the edge. Make sure your fingers are a little apart. Then you want to move your fingers back and forth 2 times going about half way across your screen. This is at least how I do it on my phone.
So you have 2 ways of going back and closing a folder. Let me know if you have more questions.
