You can do this with the native Reminders app. You can do individual entries for various tasks and either ask Reminders to "remind" you or not. You can also mark these items as completed. Just mentioning this, I'm sure there are more feature rich apps out there, but for simple reminders of things to do the Reminders app serves me well. Of course there is also SIRI integration as in "Remind me to..."
