Actually in my opinion, the Samantha low quality voice sounds better
than the high quality voice. It sound like it should be the other way
around. Try using the lower quality voice and see if your issues are
still there.

such as a period at the end of a sentence seems to have greatly
decreased or disappeared altogether. I've had to double check on
more than one occasion to ensure that I included a period because VO
read my text as if the sentences were typed without one. I've
reviewed my VoiceOver settings to make sure nothing has been added
to control this and could not find anything. Has anyone else noticed
this?
I'm using the Samantha high quality voice for VoiceOver if this
makes a difference.
