Hello Everyone, Did you know that today is National banana split day?
You would have if you had the National Day Calendar app installed on your iOS device. This is a marvelously fun and socially engaging app, for all. A definite must-have solution for anyone who wants to be in the "know." A couple of things to note for VoiceOver users: 1. This is a free app so the last line of the home screen displays a banner advertisement. 2. Should you wish to change to any date other than the current one, in the upper left corner of the calendar is a mislabeled button. However, since it is the only button on the display, other than the search button, its function is obvious. 3. Currently, there is a Search results VoiceOver bug which prevents VoiceOver from accessing the search results if text is entered in the search field; however, simply activating the search button does result in a search list that is VoiceOver accessible. This will make sense, upon use. While the three points, listed above can be somewhat frustrating, the primary aspects of the app are VoiceOver accessible including the ability to change dates and see the national holidays they represent. If you download the app, please write a review on the App Store describing the VoiceOver bugs you discover. One final thing: Single-Finger, double-tap on any holiday to display a list of options for that holiday including the ability to share it on social media.
