Hi, I was also curious about that, but unless I missed it they did not address this. I assume that you can't charge while Lightning Earpods are plugged in. It sounds like Apple really wants to go forward with these Airpods and push wireless headsets. Then of course there are already rumours that next year's 10th anniversary iPhone may have wireless charging which would illiminate the issue.
