The only way you can definitely block unknown calls is by using the Do Not Disturb feature. There are a few other ways that you can find out there on the internet, but I have not been successful with any of them.
* Go to Settings / Do not disturb. * Swipe right and double tap on Manual, it is a toggle switch, and it is off by default, so you need to turn it on. * SWIPE until you hear, allow calls from, I think favorites is the default. This is a button, so double tap it. * Now swipe until you hear all contacts and double tap to select it. Then swipe left back to the back button, you are all done. Now your phone will block any call that is from anyone that is not in your contacts. Now all calls will still show up in your list of recent calls so you can add them to your contacts if you want., and all calls will still be able to leave you a voice mail, but only calls that are from your contacts will make your phone ring. I wish Apple would add the feature so you could automatically block any call that was private or unknown. This would be very helpful.
