Hi Jim,

You are in Canada, aren't you? If so, where did you see this receiver and for
what price?
As for the app you might want to find it and download it, sometimes these types
of apps have a demo mode which might give you an idea in case nobody else
replies who may actually own this receiver.
I had a look at it and while it has some decent functionality with respect to
online services and playing stuff from a network attached drive or USB stick, I
think the receiver itself is medioker at best. I have owned Onkyo products back
in the 80's when they were still considered sort of on the upper end of the mid
range and some of their new high-end product is probably still fine. I was
asking whether you are in Canada and what price you saw because this appears to
be one of these examples where the price for this product is extremely inflated
here in Canada compared to the US. I saw it here on Amazon.ca for $778 + $15
shipping, so basically almost $800 whereas it can be had on Amazon.com for $350
US which currently converts to about $470 or so Canadian.
If you want to contact me privately to tell me a bit more about what you are
tryingh to accomplish I can possibly give you some recommendations, but I would
need to know if you are buying new because you don't currently own a setup or
if you are replacing an existing receiver and already have good speakers and
source components etc. But what my advice probably boils down to is one
brand/system and that is "Sonos".

Best regards,
Sieghard
