I tried to restore the backup of the 6 on the SE, still not what I wanted.

I hope you and Zeb are doing well. I have the iPhone 7 and I went from a 5S to the seventh. The seven isn't as big as the six or 6S. In fact it's just a hair bigger than my 5S. It's just a touch wider and attach taller. Still perfect for pocket-size. Honestly the real estate is the same as working with the iPhone 5 or 5S. I like it because it's faster and the home button is different but in a good way. The battery seems to keep longer.. And compare to my 16 gig 5S my 128 gig seven can store much more. Most features seem to work just the way they worked on the older phones. The seven does not have a headphone jack but it does have an adapter that hooks into the charging port. I myself prefer to use bone conduction headphones (aftershokz) I paired my Focus 40 blue with the seven and it worked great. There's a new way to edit apps and in that feature you can also share apps. iCloud back up and restore worked wonderfully for setting up my seven. I really didn't have to do much other did enable voiceover type in my Apple ID and password and I was done.
