That's excellent. Now, if I want to dust off some of the many earphones I bought back in my Victor Reader Stream days, I can use them and have access to remote control and volume buttons. I will admit that most of those other earphones I have pale in comparison to the Apple earpods. Enjoy your new extension cable. You can plug your EarPods into it and, whilst the remote control of the EarPods themselves ceases to work, the remote in the extension cable does. For whatever reason I had to reboot the Mac before it recognised the remote but it works a treat now. It also works on my iPhone. Now when I’m working I can lean right back in my chair when I feel like a rest without pulling my ears out.
