I wrote the developer and this is what I was told:

The sounds have been upgraded to correctly use the volume controls on the
device.  You will need to adjust your voiceover volume relative to the
system volume to get the balance you desire.

 

I then use the volumn buttons on the side to set the sound of dice world and
the volumn in the roder to turn down voice over and everything works fine
now. Hope this helps.
