Hi Lucy, First of all, I should mention that you can only call the first 4 entries on your Favourites list, that is all that is shown in the menu that pops up when you hard press on the phone app. I use "Favorite 1, Favorite 2 etc. to substitute for the actual names, those of course are whatever you have in your Favorites. If you have a 6S/6S Plus or 7/7 Plus which currently are the only phones which have 3D Touch you simply press harder on the Phone app and the following menu pops up: Dismiss Shortcut menu - double tap on that to do what it says, you can also press the home button or do a scrub/back gesture View Most recent Voice Mail Create New Contact Search for contact View most recent call Favourites (Heading) Add widget - this puts a Favourites widget in the Today screen Favourite entry 1 Favourite entry 2 Favourite entry 3 Favourite entry 4 Just FYI, visually the 4 names are displayed across from left to right just above the home button, when I use this I don't actually swipe but rather just touch the screen a bit above the home button and if I don't land on the contact I want I just quickly drag my finger left or right a bit. I guess your wife will have to make that decision. I know I don't use it much, but I am a blind user used to their Waze. I do use it for a couple of things, such as quickly getting rid of all notifications. And I know at least one other user on this list to apparently uses it quite a lot. Not much help I guess. I suspect it's one of those things if you don't have it, you don't miss it. Maybe if you had it in then don't and used it a lot, you would miss it.
