Hello everyone,

I have read all the thread so far. I have some thoughts I would like to 
share. I can't answer all the issues people are having. So I apologize 
for this in advance. And these are just my thoughts, and opinions. So 
please try not to take anything I say personally.


First of all, I do not find this App terrible at all. I am quite happy 
that I signed up, and I will most likely keep the service once my free 
trial is over.

Yes, I do agree that a lot still needs to be worked out, in order for 
this app to be more accessible, or even completely accessible.

I prefer this app over Sling TV. I honestly really disliked that app. 
Yes it might have listed the channel numbers. But even though it did 
this, you had to either watch the channel, until you learned what the 
channel was, or you had to get sighted assistance. You couldn't do most 
things with the app, such as add to favorites, or know what you were 
watching.

Not to mention, their tech support was down right awful!


Now as for the Directv Now app, I still have a lot to learn. But I am 
looking forward to learning it. I know I will have frustrations along 
the way. But I feel it's worth it to me.


When the app came up after I was signed in, a channel came on right 
away. When I swiped to the left, or the right, the channels would change.

If I would touch the track pad, the show would pause. At least, I think 
I am remembering that correctly. I was able to swipe left and right, 
where I then saw some options.


I somehow discovered that I could see what show I was watching, and how 
long the show would still be on. When I swiped down, I could see some of 
the shows that were coming up.

Unfortunately, I haven't got a clue how I managed to do this. I wish I 
could know what I did. But I know I will figure it out again. When I do, 
I will write it down, so I can share it with all of you.


I haven't tried to add any channels to my favorites. I want to do this, 
most definitely! But I think I will wait until my sighted friend can 
help me. This way, I can choose what I want, and make a list as to the 
order they are in. At least until I get it memorized.


I would like to know how I see the channels ordered by catagory, or 
whatever that is, that someone mentioned.


Also, someone mentioned there were networks listed at the bottom of the 
screen.

How do I find these, and how do I figure out what the buttons are, that 
were mentioned?

I guess just by trial and error, really.

Also, have they started the on-demand service yet? I would imagine this 
might take some time. But when it happens, I really hope we can access 
it in some way.


I do agree that the website is horrible to use. The really need to fix 
that, fast! The sooner the better, would be much appreciated!

I would like to know who to call for tech support. I want to see how 
they react, and what they might say.

However, the only number I can find to call, won't send me to tech 
support, or any help for that matter. It wants an account number, which 
I of course don't have. When I mention this to the automated system, she 
just doesn't get it. LOL!

So I have gotten absolutely nowhere in this area.


I do want to see how this App might work on my Ipad.

However, I feel it might be more difficult to manage, with the split 
screen. But I still plan to try.

I don't have any plans to put this on my Iphone, as that's just 
personally not what I use it for.


Anyone who is currently using this app, please let us know what you 
learn, and what you find works for you. Or what might work in general. I 
don't know about anyone else, but I would really appreciate this.

I will most certainly do the same, the best to my ability.


Also, please try and keep in mind that this service just started. It's a 
baby, with a lot of growing to do.
