To me it makes much more sense to own an iPhone and an Apple TV compared to an
iPhone and iPad. There is of course nothing wrong in having an iPhone and iPad,
but I just find I'd rather have one device than two, but the Apple TV which
just sits there and it's a dedicated device with probably the best interface
for Netflix and Youtube just makes sense to me. Also as somebody who likes the
home automation stuff and is looking at getting more of it the Apple TV via its
SIRI capable remote will be a hub for all Apple Home Kit enabled home
automation devices. I just bought a bunch of Philips Hue bulbs and the bridge
(received some bulbs today, but still waiting for the bridge) and down the road
I want to get either the August or Schlage smart lock both of which are Home
Kit enabled. For people who don't have something like a Sonos system the Apple
TV can also be a great way to play music from an Apple Music subscription and
if you want to show videos or photos to sighted family or friends there is
nothing better.

Regards,
Sieghard

That was a dumb moment. I just know it doesn't work superbly on my computer
seems sluggish but I use my phone a lot for other things. Maybe this won't be
the best solution. Is this the advantage most of you find with the Apple Tv?
I've always wondered why people owned them as well as a phone. I guess I know
one reason why now.
