I like the bible Gateway app for several reasons. It has multiple translations of the Bible, such as N.I.V and The Message, among many others. Many of the N.I.V passages I look up have the ability for you to hear the Word, not dramatized but that's okay. Finally, though many Bible apps have these features, I really like the way one can look up a passage in Bible Gateway using picker controls for the book, chapter and verse desired. When the selected passage comes up, headings divide up the screen, so navigating through is very easy.
