Terri, I just performed exactly what you described by getting a listing of my favorite channels at 7pm tonight. I got several screens of channels and swiping right advanced through them to the next screen with one exception. My listing contained advertising and when I came to an ad, swiping right would often not proceed to the channel below it. Once it jumped me to the bottom menu and once focus just seemed to stick on the ad. I would suggest if you hear anything that's not a channel while you're swiping that you place your finger below where the ad is to reestablish focus and start swiping again.
