hi,
updating won't help you. while I don't have a suggestion updating won't magically restore the keyboard. you could try erasing and restoring, but you can do that without updating, so you should be good to, assuming you're willing to do it.

Hi all,

Yesterday I began having a problem with the onscreen keyboard on my
iPhone 7 running iOS10.1. The keyboard will not appear no matter what
I do. So far I have tried the following to solve the problem:

Rebooted the phone.
Performed a hard reset.
Reset network settings.
Turned Bluetooth on and off.
Made the phone forget all Bluetooth keyboards then repaired.

None of these actions has restored my onscreen keyboard. Does anyone
have any other ideas short of installing the latest iOS? I haven't
wanted to update because of a mail bug that is a deal-breaker for me.
The bug is fixed in the beta cycle and I was trying to hang on until
the beta goes into production. So if I can avoid updating I would like
to.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
