oh wow, I have the opposite problem with things disappearing too fast from the screen on a regular basis.

Sometimes after using Siri to ask a question the screen will retain the Siri controls and I have a difficult time getting them to go away. Neither the home button nor locking and locking the screen works consistently. It may take several presses of the home button to clear the screen.
