As far as I know the News app is still only available inthe the US, England and Australia. It was introduced in iOS 9 but even in iOS 10 it didn't even make it to us in Canada, instead we got a silly widget. If you set your region to United States you can also enjoy the News app and if you are unlucky Homeland Security will find out and you'll be barred forever from visiting Trumpland (or would that actually be lucky)? *smile*
