Another possibility is to keep your credit union account and open up
another one at Charles Schwab or Fidelity.  They offer free checking
accounts with no minimum balance and refunds on all ATM surcharges.
You could use a talking ATM anywhere without extra charges. They
provide checks free as well as free unlimited bill pay.  Both
companies have made public commitments on accessibility and have
websites and mobile apps that are accessible.  I wrote about these
