Yes, and in a way that is dangerous because sometimes somebody may turn this on and enter a password, then they forget all about it and eventually if they need to restore they can’t remember the password. Make sure if you check that checkbox for doing encrypted backups you know the password, otherwise it’s better to turn it off, delete any backups that are there, then turn it back on at which point it will ask for a password and ask for you to type it a second time. Now it’s once again turned on so make sure you remember the password.
